Welcome to Concrete 2021
The 30th Biennial National Conference of the Concrete Institute of Australia (Concrete 2021) is dedicated to bringing together global leaders in the concrete industry. Under the theme, “Smart and Innovative Concrete from Disruption” the Conference will appeal to those interested in all aspects of concrete design, research, construction, maintenance and repair, to discuss and share information on how innovation and smarter thinking will allow us to deal with disruption. The Conference will offer participants from all around the world the opportunity to connect face-to-face, sharing research information, innovative and interesting ideas, and practical know-how, with a wide variety of industry experts in the world-class facilities of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and the beautiful state of Western Australia from 5 – 8 September 2021.
On behalf of the Organising Committee, we look forward to meeting you at Concrete 2021 in Perth, Australia.
The Concrete 2021 Organising Committee together with the Concrete Institute of Australia acknowledge the global COVID-19 impact and thoughts are with our Members plus extended family and the Concrete community in Australia and internationally.
In consultation with the Concrete Institute of Australia Board and our Professional Conference Organiser, Arinex, the Concrete 2021 Organising Committee will continue to monitor the conditions in Australia and across the globe. We will adopt up-to-date advice provided by our Government and the World Health Organisation.
Concrete 2021 is some time away and the Organising Committee is confident to deliver a successful conference. The theme “Smart and Innovative Concrete from Disruption” is relevant in these evolving times. Given the ever-changing conditions across the globe as a result of COVID-19, the Organising Committee has made the decision to deliver a hybrid conference incorporating in person, face-to-face interaction with online sessions and participation in particular for international participants. Regardless, the conference will be a wonderful industry forum to share knowledge on our concrete topics plus problems and solutions in response to COVID-19.
We are very appreciative of the ongoing support from our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and participants who will attend Concrete 2021. We will deliver an engaging technical and social program highlighting smart and innovative concrete.
We look forward to receiving your abstract submissions for Concrete 2021 that opens on 4 September 2020 and follow-up registration.
