On behalf of the Concrete Institute of Australia and the Conference Organising Committee, we invite you to be part of the Institute’s 33rd Biennial National Conference, Concrete 2027.

The Conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 5 – 8 September 2027 and we look forward to welcoming CIA members and concrete industry colleagues from all over the world. Under the theme, A Concrete Future – Digital, Durable, Decarbonised – the Conference will cover all aspects of concrete materials, design, construction, repair, and maintenance that are relevant to our changing world. The Conference is dedicated to bringing together global leaders in the concrete industry, to discuss and share information on the three most important aspects that will impact our concrete future – the digitisation and innovation in technology in the industry, long term durability and resilience of buildings and infrastructure, and the sustainability and decarbonisation of concrete construction. Combined with the construction in SEQ and beyond due to the 2032 Olympics, the conference is an amazing opportunity to be part of a generational change in the concrete industry in Queensland.

The conference, which is co-chaired by Vinh Dao and Greg van Rooyen, will feature a 3-day technical program with over 180 papers and presentations across four streams, covering more than 20 concrete topics. Special workshops on relevant interest areas, several keynote and invited speakers, and the very important NEXGen and Women in Concrete forums will also be included.

As always, the Conference will provide a number of Sponsorship and Exhibition opportunities to suit different requirements and objectives, and Concrete 2027 will also host a number of social events including the Concrete 2027 Gala Dinner where the prestigious Awards for Excellence in Concrete will be presented.
